Take this job and...LOVE IT!!
Barb presents a lively and humorous look at the wonderful world of the healthcare profession. Any healthcare professional can benefit as she shares her 40+ years of experience by weaving tales from yesteryear with current nursing, medical, and pharmacological progress. What was once called heartburn is the more sophisticated GERD in today’s world of nursing and medicine. Treatment used to be 2 ounces of milk alternating with 2 ounces of Maalox. We have come a long way. ED can designate an emergency department or erectile dysfunction—who knew? Dead neurons “back in the day” were never capable of regenerating—not true in today’s world. Strokes are treated differently, heart attacks are no longer called heart attacks, and “a touch of the flu” is no longer an issue—COVID-19 is a nightmare. Join Barb for a clinically relevant, fascinating and fun discussion – comparing what’s old, what’s new, and why healthcare profession is one of the most respected and trusted professions in the world. Barb's Take This Job and Love it will have you laughing your way to another healthy and prosperous year in nursing.

hank you, Barb. The Carefree conference was terrific due to your good medicine "laughter," which I tried to share with the staff I manage but the delivery was not the same as you. You are dynamic, engage the audience and the laughter lasts much longer than the 2-hour presentation. Thank you so much. I cannot wait to share the DVD's with the staff! Be well. Be safe , and continue to share the laughter, it is a gift.

I just wanted to Thank You on behalf of myself as well as MHSTE! I am still laughing when I think about your presentations. I laughed until I cried actually during the presentations. As I am sure you already know, the evaluations were fabulous! Most of them said they want to see and hear you again next year. You might want to think about penciling in MHSTE (MHSE) Conference for next July. One of the best presentations I think I have ever heard. Thanks again!
