At Decision Economics, Sinai and his colleagues use a research methodology combining high-frequency economic data, proprietary econometric modeling, monetary and fiscal policy analysis and qualitative assessment of the forces shaping economies and markets. He is particularly known for examining “Big Wave” secular trends—the fundamental economic, political, technological and societal forces capable of transforming markets and business conditions over extended periods. For keynote audiences, this perspective provides more than an economic forecast. Sinai explains why the economy and markets are moving, where the greatest risks and opportunities may lie, and what changing conditions could mean for businesses, investors and organizational strategy.
Chief Global Economist and Wall Street Veteran

Throughout his career, he has advised U.S. policymakers from both Republican and Democratic administrations and has consulted with government officials, central banks and economic leaders internationally. He has testified before the U.S. Congress scores of times on economic and policy issues and has contributed his expertise to discussions surrounding monetary policy, fiscal policy, economic growth, inflation, employment and financial markets. This combination of Wall Street experience, economic research and firsthand exposure to public policy gives Sinai an unusually comprehensive perspective on how decisions in Washington and global capitals ultimately affect businesses, investors and financial markets.

This research has helped advance the use of quantitative economic analysis for forecasting business cycles, assessing policy changes and understanding financial-market behavior.
