Casey Anderson Speaker Biography
Casey Anderson is an expert in animal rescue and rehabilitation best know for his best friend “Brutus” an orphaned North American Grizzly Bear Anderson rescued in 2002. At that time if the bear had survived he might have been euthanized due to overpopulation at the preserve. A special relationship devloped between man and bear and to ensure as normal a life as possible Anderson built the Montana grizzly encounter in Bozeman, Montana, Brutus and others like him to could grow up “being a bear.”
Today Anderson is the host and executive producer of the National Geographic Wild Channel series “Expedition Wild” and “America the Wild”. However, he and Brutus continue to appear together on shows like Oprah or Good Morning America. He and Brutus and their unique relationship is the suject of Anderson’s inspiring book The Story of Brutus: My Life with Brutus and the Grizzly Bears of North America which is a strident plea to protect these glorious animals.
Casey is a Naturalist, Film and Televisin producer, and Actor & Wildlife Expert. He is the recipient of the 2010 Panda Award for Best Presenter-Led Program for “Expedition Grizzly” at the Wildscreen Festival in Bristol, UK. Casey is a public speaker and was recently nominated to speak at TEDx Jackson Hole Wyoming.
