Marilu Henner’s entire life is a testimony to the power of her approach to health. She believes that with good health you can do it all. But it wasn’t always this way. As a teenager, she was a yo-yo dieter, watching her weight balloon way up.

She was an emotional eater who felt sick and unhealthy all the time. When her parents both passed away in their 50’s–her mother from complications from arthritis and her father from a heart attack—she knew she had to take control of her own health so that the same fate did not await her. It was not about dieting, it was about health and finding a way to live that maximized the way our bodies were meant to function.
