Laura practiced white-collar criminal defense at Skadden, Arps et al., in Washington, D.C. from 1993-1996. She served as a law clerk to Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas in 1992-93 and was an editor of the law review at the University of Virginia School of Law, from which she graduated in 1991. Laura worked as a speechwriter in the Reagan Administration from 1986-1988 at the Departments of Education, Transportation and at the White House in domestic policy. She graduated from DartmouthCollege and resides in Washington, D.C.
